IGMG is financed solely by its members. It does not receive any state grants or allowances from domestic or foreign institutions. Membership fees are raised both locally and centrally. The organisational structure of the IGMG is strictly subsidiary. Communal and regional branches manage their funds autonomously. Merely an account of their financial activities is given to the central administration. Besides there are the central evaluation and distribution of donations, the zakat etc.

 

The organisation of pilgrimages and a book shop are two single-purpose businesses operated by the IGMG. Commercial activities are not performed by the IGMG.
