Friday Khutba
Dear Brothers and Sisters!
This Ramadan, inshaAllah, we will witness Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power) on the night of Monday, 16 March. On this occasion, we congratulate you on this blessed Night of Power and invite all our brothers and sisters to our mosques to revive and observe this night together. This night is better than a thousand months, it is a night when mercy is most abundant and forgiveness is closest. It is the night when the Qur’an was revealed, when the angels surround the earth and when hearts are filled with light. It is the deepest expression of a believer’s turning towards Allah. Allah (swt) says:

Taqwa is a fundamental measure that regulates a believer’s relationship with Allah (swt), with other people and with the world around them. Allah (swt) states, “Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous (the most mindful of Him).” Thus, He informs us that superiority lies not in lineage or status, but in taqwa.
