Arqam ibn Abi al-Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), who was honoured by the light of Islam at a young age, had the privilege of being one of the first Muslims to respond to the call of the Prophet (saw). At that time, the spread of Islam was still done in secret, and the believers had to act cautiously to protect themselves from the persecution of the polytheists. Muslims needed a safe place where they could come together, learn knowledge and worship.
Muslim life is not just about worshiping. Beyond worship, fulfilling our responsibilities towards humanity, society and the environment that our Lord has placed upon us is a necessity and manifestation of living as a Muslim.
Just as it is a reality and truth that we are currently living in this world, death and the eternal afterlife are equally real and true.InshAllah, we will commemorate the 1453rd anniversary of the arrival of our prophet Muhammad (saw), the Seal of the Prophets who was sent as a mercy to the worlds, tomorrow evening in our mosques with our families. On this occasion, as I begin the khutba, I congratulate both your Jumah and the blessed day of Mawlid al-Nabi, and I pray to Allah (swt) for it to bring goodness to humanity.
Allah (swt), who created us out of nothing, states: "Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah, you have an excellent example for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and who remembers Allah often." Sent as a mercy to all the worlds, the Prophet Muhammad (saw) is an eternal and unchanging "role model" for all generations. His noble character, lifestyle and stance in the face of events and issues are examples that transcend time and space for all humanity.
We must act consciously whilst using social media, which has become so influential over us and plays a decisive role in shaping our lives. First and foremost, we need to avoid a usage style that leads to addiction and steals our valuable time.One of the issues that puts Today’s people in difficult situations is the spread of the culture of exposure. Exposure involves revealing and spreading things that should remain hidden.
