FRIDAY KHUTBA

Khutba: The Night of Acquittal as a means for Allah’s Forgiveness

25. March 2021
Dear Brothers! When we were nearing the month of Rajab, we were making the dua of our Prophet ﷺ: “O Allah, bless us in Rajab and Sha`bān and enable us to reach Ramadan”. We have completed the month of Rajab, may Allah accept our deeds in this month. We are currently in the middle of the month of Sha’ban. According to Usama bin Zaid (r.a), apart from Ramadan, the Prophet ﷺ observed the most amount of fasting during the month of Sha’ban. When asked about his many fasts during Sha’ban the Prophet responded “That is a month to which people do not pay attention, between Rajab and Ramadan, and it is a month in which deeds are lifted up to the Lord of the Worlds. I like for my deeds to be lifted up when I am fasting.”

Khutba: Masjid Manners

18. March 2021
Dear Brothers and Sisters! Our masjids are our holy places that gather us inside, give peace and confidence, the sign of the existence of Islam in that region, and ensures our unity. At the same time, our masjids, in the words of Rasulullah (saw): “The most beloved places to Allah are the mosques.” Because, our masjids, are sacred places that offer messages of salvation to humanity, stop non-belief and ignorance, aim to raise a community of knowledge and wisdom, and send calls to people, especially Muslims, to act together in human identity.

Khutba: To Be Well-Spoken

12. March 2021
Dear Brothers and Sisters! One of the most important elements that make a society strong and peaceful is the sincere communication between individuals in the society and being truthful when speaking. Correct and soft dialogues will contribute to the goodness and peace of the society. On the other hand, harsh and rude communications will put people at distance and cause them to move away from each other. Friendships and even relatives will be affected by this, that is, all human relations will be greatly damaged by these situations.

Khutba: The Rise to the Heavens

04. March 2021
Dear Brothers and Sisters! The incident of Isra and Miraj, which will be on the night that connects Wednesday to Thursday, is a divine miracle of Allah (swt) given to Rasulullah (saw). Allah (swt) says in Surah Al-Isra: “Exalted is He who took His Servant [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.”

Khutba: Those Before Us

26. February 2021
Dear Brothers and Sisters! In Surah Al-Fatiha, that we recite in every rak’ah of our prayers, we make dua by saying “Guide us to the straight path-The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favour, not of those who have earned [Your] anger or of those who are astray!” Allah (swt) has explained who those people are that have been bestowed his favour in Surah An-Nisa by saying: “And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger-those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favour of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions”

Khutba: Death as A Warning Is Enough

04. February 2021
Rahla KoranDear Brothers and Sisters! Just as it is a reality for Allah (swt) to create us from nothing and give us life, death is also an inevitable truth. Every creature that comes to the world will die after their time is up. Man and any creature that was created have no way of escaping death
